Interior panelling and exterior stain!

This weekend was very productive thanks to a few friends that came and helped!  Thanks to Luke, Cinthya, and Oliver.  Tara, your awesome, thanks for staying the weekend with us and helping out, we really appreciated and enjoyed hanging out with you.

We were able to get a full two coats of stain on the house and put about half of the interior panelling up.  It was a lot of work, but well worth the hours.  It was mid to high 80's both Saturday and Sunday so thank you again to our friends for putting up with the heat to help us out.

 First coat going on...

First piece of panelling with the plywood behind where the counter-top and couch will be.

After the second coat...

  1. Just found your blog and it's really cool to see someone document the whole building process.
My girlfriend and i are starting to design our own tiny home, and finding your blog has helped me some in seeing just what goes into it.
Thank you so much for it!

    1. Hi Justin,
I'm so glad that you've found the blog helpful! That is actually the main reason that we started it (aside from just wanting a way to record everything we did to look back on for ourselves), because we found that although there are a lot of tiny house blogs out there, not too many of them document the actual work of constructing it step-by-step.

Let us know if you have any questions we might be able to help you out with! :) And definitely let us know if you document your own journey somewhere in the blogosphere as well, we'd love to follow it!
